Glossary

The acronyms and slang you'll see in chat, on the forum, and in Trades. First the ones exclusive to Diablo II Evolution, then the general Diablo 2 ones.

EC Evo Cash
The site's main currency. Buys items in the Shop and at Akara, pays for Trades between players, and comes as a reward from achievements and events. View
ET Evo Token
The server's second currency. Comes from the Shop, achievements, and events, and pays for the Raffle, event entries, and the Token Trade. View
EG Evo Gold
The Evolution gold that drops from monsters in-game. In the Account's Transfers tab it moves from your character to the site. View
Evo Pass
Season subscription with in-game bonuses and extra achievement rewards. View
Akara
The site's Akara shop: sells items for Evo Cash any time, at a higher price than the Shop. View
Trades
The site's marketplace where players buy and sell items with each other using Evo Cash. View
Shopping List WTB
Buy requests: you say what item you want and how much you'll pay, and whoever has it makes an offer. View
Site Stash
The item storage in your Account. Muled items leave your character and stay there until you retrieve them. View
Henk Henknoc Jungles
4-level cube event. Each level gives a Henknoc Guide; with all four plus the Devil Korlic's Ear IV you assemble the Henknoc Hero. View
Henk Hero Henknoc Hero
The final item of the Henknoc Jungles, with 1000 charges. One of the Deckard Cain achievements. View
Depths The Depths of Hell
Act 1 event opened with the Tome of Satanic Portal and Wirt's Leg. This is where Dementia drops. View
Dementia
Unique item that drops from The Depths of Hell event. View
Pit The Fiend Pit
Act 1 event opened with keys and the Na-Krul Fang; the recipe changes depending on the day of the week. In the original game, the Pit is the level-85 area in Act 1, widely used for farming. View
Goblin Town
Event opened with the Goblin Toe boot and Gheed's Poverty. Only opens in the act shown on the boot's attribute. View
Outcast The Outcast's Library
Act 5 event opened with Vessel Shards, Bottled Demons, Hell Portals pages, and the Key of Destruction. View
Stand Standard of Heroes
Item used in the level 3 and 4 recipes of the Henknoc Jungles. One of the most sought-after items of the season. View
Forge Hellforge
D2Evo system that adds extra attributes to an item through the cube, in tiers (Enchanted and Legendary), using the Hellforge Hammer, Izual Plan, and other materials. View
Frenzy Lands
D2Evo's high-level areas, with stronger monsters and more experience. View
Full House
Completing Class Mastery for all seven classes in the same season. View
Grail Holy Grail
Finding every unique and set item in the game. On D2Evo these are the Collector achievements, and each clan has its own Grail. View
DW Dark Wanderer
The Dark Wanderer objective track: each objective unlocks the next. View
DSR Duriel Speed Run
Event for whoever kills Duriel the fastest. View
UD2FC Ultimate Diablo 2 Fighting Championship
D2Evo's PvP championship. View
Raffle
A drawing with numbers paid for in Evo Token. View
PvP Mode
Skill adjustments that only apply in player-vs-player duels. Patch notes list the value with and without PvP Mode.
/gs
Chat command that chooses which server (Brazil, Europe, or US) your games are created on. View
Non-Ladder NL
Characters from past seasons, brought over through the Account to play outside the ladder. View
Wipe
The start of a new season: everyone begins from scratch. Old characters become Non-Ladder. View

alvl Affix Level
The minimum level an item needs for a prefix or suffix to roll on it. View
Ama / Zon Amazon
The amazon. View
Andy Andariel
Act 1 boss. View
Anni Annihilus
Unique small charm with skills, attributes, resistances, and experience. View
AR Attack Rating
Chance to land a physical hit.
Arach Arachnid Mesh
Unique belt with +1 to all skills and FCR. View
Baal Run
Group that kills Baal and the Throne of Destruction waves back to back for the experience.
Barb Barbarian
The barbarian. View
Base
The white item that runes or recipes go into (e.g., Monarch, Archon Plate). View
Blizz Blizzard Sorceress
Cold sorceress.
BO Battle Orders
Barbarian shout that increases the party's life, mana, and stamina.
Breakpoint BP
The value of FCR, FHR, IAS, or FBR at which the animation gains one extra frame. Between one breakpoint and the next, nothing changes. View
CB Crushing Blow
Chance to take a percentage of the target's current life in one hit.
Chaos Chaos Sanctuary
Final area of Act 4, where Diablo is. View
clvl Character Level
The character's level.
Cow Secret Cow Level
The secret cow level, opened in the cube with Wirt's Leg and a Tome of Town Portal. View
CTA Call to Arms
Runeword that grants Battle Orders, Battle Command, and Battle Cry to any class. View
CtC Chance to Cast
Chance to trigger a skill on its own when attacking or being hit.
DClone Über Diablo
The Diablo that spawns in the world after many Stone of Jordan sales. Drops the Annihilus. View
DR Damage Reduced
Reduces physical damage taken.
Druid / Dudu Druid
The druid. View
DS Deadly Strike
Chance to deal double damage.
ED Enhanced Damage / Enhanced Defense
Percentage increase to damage (on weapons) or defense (on armor).
Enigma
Armor runeword that grants Teleport to any class. View
Eth Ethereal
Ethereal item: 50% higher base defense or damage, but it can't be repaired. View
Facet Rainbow Facet
Unique jewel that increases damage and lowers resistance of one element. View
Farm
Repeating the same area or boss over and over for drops or experience.
FBR Faster Block Rate
Makes the block animation faster.
FCR Faster Cast Rate
Makes the spell-casting animation faster.
FHR Faster Hit Recovery
Reduces the time your character is locked up after taking a heavy hit.
FRW Faster Run/Walk
Increases run/walk speed.
FT For Trade
Item available for trade.
GC / LC / SC Grand / Large / Small Charm
Charms, which work just by being in your inventory: large (1x3), medium (1x2), and small (1x1). View
GF Gold Find
Increases the gold dropped by monsters.
Griffon Griffon's Eye
Unique circlet that lowers enemies' elemental resistance. View
Hammerdin
Blessed Hammer paladin.
HC Hardcore
Mode where a character that dies is lost for good. View
Hostile
Declaring hostility toward another player so you can attack them.
HotO Heart of the Oak
Mace or staff runeword with +3 to all skills. View
IAS Increased Attack Speed
Increases attack speed. View
IK Immortal King
Barbarian set. View
ilvl Item Level
The item's level, set by the monster or area it dropped in. Determines which affixes can roll. View
Infy Infinity
Runeword with the Conviction aura, which lowers enemies' resistance. Widely used on the mercenary. View
Insight
Runeword with the Meditation aura, which regenerates mana. A classic on the mercenary. View
ISO In Search Of
Looking for an item.
Javazon
Javelin amazon (Lightning Fury and Charged Strike).
Keys
Key of Terror, Key of Hate, and Key of Destruction: open the Über portals. On D2Evo each one drops from two bosses (the Library says which). View
Ladder
The season: everyone starts together and the ranking resets to zero. View
LL Life Leech
Part of the physical damage you deal comes back as life (Life Stolen Per Hit).
Mara Mara's Kaleidoscope
Unique amulet with +2 to all skills and resistances. View
Max Res Maximum Resistances
Raises a resistance cap above 75%.
Meph Mephisto
Act 3 boss. A Meph run is killing him repeatedly for the drop. View
Mercenary Merc / Hire
The hireling hired in town. View
MF Magic Find
Increases the chance of monsters dropping magic, rare, set, or unique items.
ML Mana Leech
Part of the physical damage you deal comes back as mana (Mana Stolen Per Hit).
Mule Mule
A character that only stores items. On D2Evo, muling means sending the item to the Site Stash. View
Necro Necromancer
The necromancer. View
Organs
Diablo's Horn, Baal's Eye, and Mephisto's Brain: drop at the Über portals and open Über Tristram. View
OW Open Wounds
Makes the target bleed and lose life for a few seconds.
Pala Paladin
The paladin. View
PC Price Check
A request for others to say how much an item is worth. View
Perf Perfect
Item with every attribute at the top of its range.
Pindle Pindleskin
Unique monster at the entrance to Nihlathak's Temple, in Act 5. One of the fastest farms in the game. View
PvM Player vs Monster
Playing against the monsters: farming, bosses, and events.
PvP Player vs Player
Player-versus-player combat. View
qlvl Quality Level
The quality level of a base or unique item; the monster needs a high enough level to drop it. View
Res Resistances
Resistances to fire, cold, lightning, and poison. In Hell they drop by 100 points, so a comfortable minimum is reaching 75%.
Rush
A strong player carries the new character through the acts, killing bosses to unlock the difficulties.
RW Runeword
Runeword: runes in the right order in a base with the exact number of sockets. View
SC Softcore
Normal mode: die and you respawn in town. View
Shako Harlequin Crest
Unique helm with +2 to all skills. View
Sina / Sin Assassin
The assassin. View
Skiller
Grand charm with +1 to a skill tree. One of the class prefixes. View
+Skills
Skill level bonus: All Skills, class skills, or a skill tree.
slvl Skill Level
A skill's level, adding up points and item bonuses.
SoJ Stone of Jordan
Unique ring with +1 to all skills and a lot of mana. View
Sorc / Sorc Sorceress
The sorceress. View
Spirit
Cheap runeword with skills, FCR, and mana. View
Summoner
Summon necromancer (skeletons and golem).
Synergy Synergy
A skill that boosts the effect of another skill from the same class.
Tal Tal Rasha's Wrappings
Sorceress set. View
Tele Teleport
The Teleport skill.
Torch Hellfire Torch
Unique large charm from Über Tristram, with +3 to a class's skills. View
Trapsin
Trap assassin.
Trav Travincal
Act 3 area with the Council, widely used for farming. View
Ubers Über Tristram
The Über bosses (Lilith, Duriel, Izual, Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal). Killing the final three drops the Hellfire Torch. View
WSK Worldstone Keep
The floors before Baal's throne, in Act 5. View
WTB Want To Buy
I want to buy. On the site, that's the Shopping List. View
WTS Want To Sell
I want to sell. View
